Net 30 Payment Terms: Net 30 means the full invoice amount is due 30 days after the invoice date or after the broker receives the delivery documents, depending on the agreement.
Why it matters to owner operators
Check what starts the clock. Some brokers count from delivery, others from the day they receive your paperwork, so missing documents can delay payment. Longer terms such as net 45 or net 60 put more strain on your cash.
Example
A load is delivered on the 1st and a clean invoice is sent the same day. Under net 30 terms, payment is due around the 31st.
